NRD Managers to Participate in State Infrastructure Seminar
Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) will host an Infrastructure Seminar in Hastings on October 3, 2019. David Eigenberg, general manager of the Upper Big Blue NRD, and colleagues from the Central Platte NRD and Little Blue NRD, will participate in a panel discussion at the event on the topic of Water and Energy Management and Infrastructure. A representative from Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District will also be involved in the panel discussion.
Third District residents will be able to hear from a wide variety of Nebraska officials and stakeholders at the day-long seminar, presenting on the current state of infrastructure, plans for the future and resources available to communities.

According to a statement from Congressman Smith, “Infrastructure is critical to our economy. More than just roads, infrastructure includes bridges, railroads, ports, irrigation, telecommunications, pipelines, and many other facilities. I am eager to hear about the state of our infrastructure from our special guests, and the residents of Nebraska’s Third District.”
The infrastructure seminar event will be held on Thursday, October 3, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The location of the event is the Cottonwood Room of the Hall Student Union at Hastings Central Community College (550 S. Technical Blvd, Hastings). A light breakfast and buffet lunch is available at no cost. Everyone with an interest in the topics being covered is invited to attend the event, however, RSVPs are strongly encouraged. A live stream of the seminar will be available on Congressman Smith's Facebook Page at for those unable to attend in person.
