Justin Elge is a lifelong Nebraskan.  He farms near Aurora and also moves equipment for Paschke Brothers Construction.  In his spare time he enjoys fixing and re-engineering things to make them work better.  Elge started attending board and committee meetings to better understand how a large-scale water user could have had long-term impacts on the aquifer and his family farm.  In doing so, he quickly learned about all of the areas the Upper Big Blue NRD is responsible for, and "realized that it's very important to protect our natural resources in this great state."  When the opening for the at-large position came up, he knew he "wanted to serve and be part of preserving the good life."

Elge wants people to know the NRD's work goes far beyond day-to-day operations and regulations. The NRD is focused on "ensuring that the next generation can enjoy the same, or even better, quality and availability of natural resources as we do today."  If people have questions or concerns, he encourages them to get involved in Nebraska's unique NRD system and be part of the process to protect and promote our natural resources.
